The Tripleboarderstone lies at the boarder-lines of Austrian Tauka, the Slovenian Trdkova and the Hungarian Felsőszölnök, at the meeting of Trianon boarders and at the same time it marks the westernmost point of Hungary. The memorial site was first open on 4th June 1989. Since this date it has been the most popular destination of the tourists and the location of many international events.

In 1377, on the place of present church was the christening zion built in honour of John the Baptist. The church has been reconstructed many times; paintings on the walls illustrate Cirill and Method Slav apostles. The church reached its present day complexion in 1938; this renovation was lead by Jozsef Kossics who was the parish priest that time.
Jozsef Kossics was a parish priest in Felsőszölnök who was the writer of the first Slovenian land monograph in Hungary and many other books written in mother tongue. His tomb is in the cemetery and his memorial plaque is on the wall of the church.
