Sights of the regionOrfalu-Andovci
Written memories mentioned the settlement in 1538; the residents had been serfs of the Szentgotthárd Cistercian Abbey. Orfalu used to have 350 residents but by today it had become the smallest Slovenian settlement. Its separate houses are surrounded by plough lands, orchards, meadows which gives a mosaic character to this land. There is a “skirt-like” bell tower and a millennium memorial plaque in the central part of the settlement. The Slovenian house of regional traditions reflects the long-ago peasant life. By the warm of the built-in stove the kitchen gives a special calmness. The yard of the peasant house is decorated with a so called Little Triglav. The one-ton rock is the present of Triglav National Park (Slovenia); stones from the seven Slovenian settlements can be found in its leg. It has a public road connection to Slovenian Budinci. In the boarders of the village there is Lake Black (Lake Fekete) and its neighbourhood which is one of the most protected areas of Őrség National Park.
